The 10MW test cell at the Notre Dame Turbomachinery Laboratory (NDTL) is taking shape with the installation of an exhaust scroll. Rated for 800°F, the exhaust scroll was designed by NDTL to optimize aerodynamics, minimize facility losses, and reach very low pressure ratios. Once completed, the test cell will be capable of handling 100lbm/s for compressor testing.
